posAbilities and partners to host informal reception with Randy Lewis and guests!
May 26, 2016 @ 5:00 am - 7:00 pm
On behalf of the BC Partners in Workforce Innovation, Canucks Autism Network, Inclusion BC, Pacific Family Autism Centre and posAbilities, we invite you to an informal evening reception for individuals and families featuring special guests Randy Lewis, former Vice President of Walgreens and author of No Greatness Without Goodness – How a Father’s Love Changed a Company and Sparked a Movement; Jamie Millar-Dixon HR Professional and Recruitment Specialist for the BC Partners in Workforce Innovation; and Gordon Ross and Jillian Bradley, who represent the Ready Willing and Able Initiative for Inclusion BC. Hear from leaders in the field of inclusive hiring and learn about current job opportunities for individuals living with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities.
Randy Lewis bet his career that he could create an inclusive workplace at one of America’s biggest corporations where people with disabilities could not just succeed, but thrive. Currently visiting Vancouver on a number of speaking engagements, Randy has kindly offered his time to meet with families and share his powerful story. We hope that you will be able to join us, and to learn about how his experience has guided the work that is currently underway in our communities through partnerships like BCWIN and the Ready Willing and Able initiative, as well as the role of the local service providers like posAbilities Employment Service, who are working alongside them to advance the employment of people with diverse abilities.
As space is limited, kindly RSVP by Tuesday, May the 24th to hrc2@bcpartnerswin.org. There is no cost to attend and we look forward to connecting with you!
